Superintendent's Message

Jean Stachowiak

To the Members of the North Palos District 117 Learning Community:

It's hard to believe that the holidays are behind us and I hope everyone enjoyed time with family and friends. As we move forward with the second half of the school year, I am reminded of just what an amazing school district this is and how privileged I am to serve as its superintendent. It is a privilege I take both seriously and humbly as I know it truly is a team effort.

Every single day I get to work with amazing men and women who are dedicated and committed to the care, safety and education of more than 3,400 students from pre-k through eighth grade. I get to see first hand how hard these talented people work to make sure each and every child achieves the highest level of education possible.
I'd like to share with you some great news we recently received. Conrady Junior High School was nominated to receive the coveted National Blue Ribbon Award, which is awarded to schools that have achieved high levels of performance or make significant improvements in closing the achievement gap.
Conrady is the highest-performing school in the state in its demographic category. We will receive final word this Fall. We hope you are as proud of the accomplishment as we are.
Have a great second half of the school year!
Yours in Education,

 Jeannie Stachowiak, Ed.D.
